Eek! The dreaded four-letter "D" word! Today is actually day 4 of my new diet and I am feeling great! I did break down the other night and have a cheeseburger for dinner (Oops!) but overall I am happy with how I am doing. The diet isn't majorly life changing, it's more about eating healthier! I've been trying to eat more frequently (5 to 7 times a day) with smaller helpings and drink plenty of H2O!
For example today
Breakfast-- 12 oz. hot Passion Tazo tea combined with Tazo Awake Black Tea & String Cheese
Mid Morning Snack--1 apple
Lunch--Half Organic Peanut Butter Sandwich on Whole Wheat Berry bread
Mid Afternoon Snack--Cut veggies (1 whole carrot, 1 stalk celery and a couple of slices red bell pepper) with 2 T. light ranch dressing (Hidden Valley is my favorite)
Late Afternoon Snack-- 1/2 cup dried mangoes
Dinner-- 3/4 c. cooked eggnoodles (whole wheat, no yoke) with 1/2 c. chicken stroganoff
Evening Snack--2 slices pineapple (canned, only because fresh pineapple is crazy expensive this time of year!)
Other: I also drank tons of water today. I think about 24 oz. throughout the day so far, though I'd like it to be a little more than that. I feel so much better. I haven't had soda in a week!
