soooo....this is a quite random question, but I've been talking on Instant Messenger a lot lately and it led me to wonder: Can you imagine NOT using the phrase: "lol" at all? I mean, at least in my conversations, it is used almost every other line, because I guess we're just really funny people. Anywho...yeah

LOL! Hehe. I didn't post on your blog because I was the only one posting and I didn't want people thinking that was weird or anything.

But yeah, life would be very different without "lol." I've lately incorporated a new online thing into my discussions. I've been in a conversation with someone and offended them by typing a phrase that is very sarcastic on my end but they read it as literal. So, lately, I've been using this "(sarc)" in order to deisgnate a sarcastic comment. I call it my little "Sarcasm Button." Pretty dumb, huh?

lol....yeah...well I think most of what I say can be considered sarcasm....so I'd be typing (sarc) a whole lot.
And if I felt really witty right now, I would give an example, but as it is after midnight, I don't think I have the brain or willpower to think one up.

I usually only use the Sarcasm Button when I am talking to someone extremely dull-witted who can't read into things like that or if I've been serious and straightforward and then throw in a sarcastic comment just to give them fair warning...

Since when is a "sarcasm button" necessary. If I'm not making fun of you, I'm serious. Easy. See?
